Duties include: Providing clinical and clerical support duties for a variety of outpatient care programs Interfacing with computer applications as well as Vista applications Working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model / patient aligned care team Interfaces with clinic support services and specialty care Develops / maintains effective and efficient communication with the patient, interdisciplinary team, VA medical center, and other agencies Acts as a representative of the VA in all interactions with patients, patients' families, staff community agencies and veterans' service representatives Promotes positive public and staff relations to enhance the exchange of relevant information for patient care needs Accurate appointment management and the coordination of all administrative information between the professional staff and the patient
Specific duties include: Scheduling, canceling, and re-scheduling patient's appointments Entering no-show information Preparing for clinic visits Monitoring outpatient appointments for areas of responsibility Receives and distributing mail and faxes Receiving and placing telephone calls for clinic Resolving simple to moderate problems
Requirements: US Citizen One year of education above high school with six months experience of clerical, office, or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position, or equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying for entry level for which both education and experience are acceptable.
