Drilling Coordinator

Reporting to the Drilling Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
Spending significant time at active drill sites, providing front line supervision of drill contractors, and subsequently reporting of activities, progress and issues to management. Presents results and recommendations to management.
Working with drill contractors and support contractors to plan, monitor and execute directionally drilled core and rotary holes in support of the definition and characterization drilling.
Planning, tracking and managing costs associated with drilling and support contractors.
Collaborating across multi-functional teams of engineers, hydrologists, environmental, HSEC and permitting professionals and manages drilling projects in other departments by providing technical support to specific components of their departmental needs and scopes.
Analyzing performance metrics and makes recommendations for improvements to increase the success of safe project delivery.
Ensuring industry best drilling practice is implemented on site.
Review project scopes of work and support drill planning
Provide technical advice on the suitability of proposed drilling methods to achieve project objectives
Ensure drill sites are constructed within design parameters and ready for occupancy
Ensure drill rigs are property set up
Provide detailed daily activity reporting
Accurately reports status updates on hole conditions, sample quality and recovery and delays to drilling
Liaison with Mine Operations personnel
Ensure all down hole surveys are performed to client specifications, monitored and recorded daily
Inspect equipment and laydown areas
Manage inventory of consumables
Participate in contractor safety meetings and incident investigations
Participate and lead weekly drilling operations meetings and leadership in the field meetings/exercises
Conduct visible felt leadership interactions with drill contractors
Responsible for the planning, and execution of directionally drilled bore holes from surface.
