Digital Literacy & Computer Science Teacher

looking for a dynamic educator who cares about the whole student and wants to implement a digital literacy/computer science curriculum for our students in grades 6,7,8. As technology continues to impact society, students need to understand this impact and how to use technology effectively as a problem-solving tool. A successful candidate will help students to:
Recognize rights, responsibilities, and opportunities of living, learning, and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal, and ethical
Use a variety of digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts, and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.
Use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems by creating new, useful, or imaginative solutions.
Develop and employ strategies for understanding and solving problems in ways that leverage the power of technological methods to develop and test solutions.
Communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats, and digital media appropriate to their goals.
Use digital tools to broaden their perspectives and enrich their learning by collaborating with others and working effectively in teams locally and globally.
Write, debug, and analyze advanced algorithms and basic programs.Job-specific responsibilities:
Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with others
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects to communicate these objectives to students.
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
Assesses and documents the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
Engages families proactively and in culturally proficient ways
Fulfills all professional responsibilities including meetings, record keeping, maintaining professional licensure, and other articulated school and district expectations
Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
Strives to maintain and improve professional competence especially as relates to the specific assignment and student grade and subject area appropriateness.
