Information Technology Project Specialist

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
In coordination with the IT Project Manager, serve as the primary contact for each project, working with project teams and coordinating communication as needed.
Manage project management documents such as the project plan, schedule, or scope statement, as directed by the IT Project Manager.
Liaise with sponsors and stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives in collaboration with Potawatomi IT Team.
Schedule stakeholder meetings and facilitate communication between the IT Project Manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
Problem solve and troubleshoot project issues and barriers, in conjunction with IT Project Manager and other IT team members.
Break projects into actionable items and timeframes.
Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
Participate in educational opportunities allowing for the continual improvement of the environment.
Assist IT Project Manager with establishing, updating, and ensuring full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Work with IT Project Manager to accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology Management with a minimum one year of project coordinator experience.
A total of four years in a project management related position can substitute bachelor’s degree requirement.
Proficiency in standard office equipment and general working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience with project management software and proficiency with collaboration tools.
Technical background covering all facets of IT infrastructure and application platforms.
The ability to use strong organization skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
